Swedish films online

In February 2011 the Swedish Film Institute (Svenska Filminstitutet) launched a website in collaboration with the National Library of Sweden on which a number of films from the Institute’s archive can be watched.
 
The focus of the now nearly 500 online films is on nonfiction (documentaries, travelogues, actualities and commercials) from the early days of Swedish cinema. All films include metadata and a brief synopsis, and often also additional contextual information is offered.
 
The Swedish Film Institute aims to expand the available corpus in the next few years, with gradually more emphasis on fiction and more recent productions. Currently the website is in Swedish.
