Film in the Netherlands is an EYE Film Institute Netherlands website.
EYE is the new institute for film in the Netherlands. It collects, preserves and presents a world-renowned collection of more than 37,000 films, to which it regularly adds Dutch and other film titles. The Institute is known for its knowledge and expertise in the areas of restoration, research, education, international promotion and film marketing. In the spring of 2012, EYE will open the doors of its spectacular new location in Overhoeks (Amsterdam).
Film in the Netherlands is one of the many concrete results of Images for the Future, a large-scale project to preserve Dutch audiovisual heritage in which EYE, the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision and the Dutch Nationaal Archief work together to preserve, digitise and present heritage.
Film in the Netherlands is financially supported in part by Agentschap NL.
